"Don't buy this. Listen to the other reviews." 2009-11-26
By inky cloak (Los Angeles)
This potty received poor reviews; I foolishly bought it anyway because I was hoping to get my daughter interested in the potty (she loves Dora). This thing is as bad as it gets. My daughter tips over on it. The removable cup sticks to her and, worst of all, she can not pick it up and move it because it is not attached to the base. The whole thing falls apart in her hands. Buy the the Bjorn potty instead and have your child personalize it with stickers of their favorite character.

"Cute, but we never used it." 2008-09-23

This was cute and my kids like it...to play with. they dont't use it for potty. The pot is too large to sit on to cause the kids' behinds to sink in.

 "Pretty good for us!" 2008-09-04
By Kristen (Dallas, TX)
My son has had no pinching issues and is almost 3. The thing I mainly use this for is for him to sit on and watch TV and hopefully go potty. He will sit there for a long time and has no issues with the size. He is 36 pounds too, so he's not super tiny.

It doesn't latch, but it hasn't been an issue for us. I love the idea of putting the one part on the potty to make the large potty fit him better....and the base will be a nice stool--it has great non-slip grips.

"My 2 year old daughter really likes this potty" 2008-04-24
By Jackalynn (Huntington Beach, CA USA)
I started potty training my 2 year old daughter and picked out this potty for two reasons: One, it has Dora on it and she LOVES anything Dora so I thought it would get her excited about using it. Two, the simplicity of the design. Its simple to put together, no lid, and when their done doing their business, you simply pull out the cup dump it in the toilette and then rins out with some water.

The only negitive about this toilette is that because the base of the potty becomes a step stool once your child moves on to the big potty, the potty part just sits on top of the upside down stool. It does not snap or lock into place. But that really hasnt proved to be much of a problem.

Bottom line, my daughter loves this potty and thats what matters.

"Cute but not worth it" 2007-11-02
By E. Gantt
My son loves Deigo so I thought this would be a good choice to start learning to use the potty. Its obvious when he sits on it that he is not fully comfortable and wont sit longer than a minute. Its really small and narrow, is hard plastic and the green "pot" slides and seems to pinch. It is also a little unstable and tilts when he tries to get up from it. I am currently looking for another product and will use this for a stool.

"Very good product. Sometimes tricky with peeling sticker..." 2009-09-12
By Coffee Lover (Allen, TX)
Recently we visited India and taken this product with us. It was VERY useful. The material is not the flimsy one that you get in mall bathrooms but a strong vinyl. Very durable, The only complaint that I have it that sometimes it is difficult to peel of the sticker to expose adhesive spots. And of course my kids love Dora!!

By Emilia Beliveau (Boston MA USA)
My brother and sister-in-law took my neice to mexico this year.. and she had just learned how to go potty by herself. My sister-in-law, knowing it would be a long flight, did not want to resort to diapers for the trip.. But also knew that my neice did not like using toilets. She was searching for something to make the airplane bathroom less scary and strange...and I came across these.

They worked out well and got the job done. ; )

 "Great for toddlers" 2008-01-02
By Mom in NC (NC)
I bought these for my 2 year old, and she loves them because of the Dora theme. I love them because they cover the seat completely, and I don't have to worry about my daughter touching the dirty toilet seat. My only complaint is that they aren't flushable. That's not reason enough for me to not use them, however. I highly recommend them.

"Great product, with only 1 complaint..." 2007-02-26
By Hannah Graces Mama (Western Maryland, USA)
My only complaint about this potty topper concerns the stick-in-place double sided tape. The peel-off backing is difficult to remove from the tape with out tearing the potty topper. It takes a bit of time to get off, and if you have a toddler dancing around the bathroom stall, doing the pee-pee dance, you don't have the luxury of a lot of time. Also, when the 'deed is done', and it's time to remove the potty seat cover, you again need to be very careful, or the tape will tear off the cover, and remain on the toilet seat. Then you have to pick it off with your fingernail - YUCK! I think a 'post-it note' kind of stick-in-place would be much better than the double sided tape. The seat cover doesn't need to stick to the seat forever, just long enough for my toddler to tinkle. Other than that, this is great. After my toddler finished, I used it too, and found it to be very comfy. It was cushiony, and provided a warm layer over a cold toilet seat. I didn't have to worry about anything leaking through, as it seems to be water-proof. It was large enough to cover the enitre seat, even those large public toilet seats.

I will continue to use these, as they do provide the layer of protection I am looking for, but I will need to be extra careful with the tape, until something better comes on the market.

When you've gotta go, you've gotta go. And when there's no clean restroom in sight, you'll be very thankful you brought along this handy little travel potty. Durable and lightweight, it folds up to the size of a small briefcase. To use, simply pull the recessed grips to open, slide the sides down, and lock into place. Lift up the seat, insert a resealable gallon-sized storage bag over the lid, and then close the seat to lock the bag in place. When your child is done, remove the bag, seal it shut, and dispose of the contents. The seat even has two storage compartments on either side to hold the bags, wipes, and a change of underwear or training pants.

 "wonderful!" 2009-10-16
By Michelle Davison (Kankakee)
Although these were designed for children, they were a lifesaver for me. I had a stroke in June and am in a wheelchair. We took a roadtrip from Illinois to Louisiana & not one bathroom had toiletseat covers in them. These seatcovers are large enough to cover the whole seat, nice & thick for the "not so clean" restrooms, and the easy to remove tape kept them in place as I transferred from the wheelchair. I would HIGHLY recommend them for both chidren & adults.

 "Those darn adhesive stickies!" 2009-09-03
By Z. Kartick (New York)
This is a very helpful product - I am no longer afraid to take my child to a public restroom. It's waterproof, thin and convenient to carry around. It covers the whole seat with a little overhang for kids to hold onto. However, when a toddler waits until the last minute to use the potty and you're rushing to unfold and remove the adhesives at the back, it's like the worst thing! The removable adhesives are small and it's hard to find the part to pull. I wish they would re-look at the design of this product - it could be an even better-selling product if the adhesives were larger and easier to remove.

I bought these because every time I took my two year old daughter to the potty ,the seat cover holders were always empty. They stick really well to the seat and are big enough to cover the potty so she is not touching it . I can also take advantage and use them myself.

 "Great Product!!!" 2009-07-09
By W. Haworth
These toilet seat covers make it very nice when being out in public restrooms. They cover the whole toilet seat and overhang a little so your little one can hold onto the toilet lid without touching anything they shouldn't! I even use them when I'm not at home. They stick in place by two small adhesives. I will definitely be buying more.

I absolutely love the potty seat covers. My 2 1/2 year old will not go potty at public restrooms unless we have potty seat covers. Unfortunately I ran out of them at a time when all the Target stores in my area were sold out. I ordered the 40-count from Amazon and they came right away.

 "too flimsy" 2009-09-13
By JellyMom (Bay Area, CA)
I was hoping for something lightweight and easy to carry for potty training purposes. I definitely got what I asked for, but I didn't ask to get my daughter's butt cheeks to get pinched in the process! Aside from this seat being flimsy, the package was missing the "travel bag" it was supposed to come with. Needless to say, I returned it and got the padded travel potty seat instead. It's a little bulkier to have to lug around, but my little girl is so much more comfortable!

"Does not fit toilet seats" 2009-08-25
By Cathleen B. Reilly
We got this potty seat for traveling and it did not fit in any of the hotel, restrooms pottys. It seems that it is ROUND and the seats on toilets are OVAL. Look for a different seat - I see some that are OVAL in shape.

 "Total garbage" 2009-07-09
By Train Man
This potty seat arrived the other day and we returned it before even trying it with our 2-year-old daughter. It feels very flimsy, like there's no way it would hold her up, and her skin could easily get pinched in the "no-pinch" hinges. Even placing it all the way forward as instructed, it didn't fit our oblong toilet seat. It came without the promised storage bag. No handles, so there's nothing to hold on to besides the dirty toilet. Not worth the $[...], even with free shipping.

Customer Buzz
 "OK, for the price" 2009-05-22
By A. Cunningham (Arlington VA)
For $10 I thought this would be worth trying. It's ... all right. Mine is clearly a return -- bag was scotch-taped together and there was no storage bag in the package. "Round" is a strange design choice, given how common oval toilet seats are. With the foam pads, though, I can make it steady enough on the seat for the purpose. Not crazy about those, since it makes disinfecting more difficult. But, the seat is better than absolutely nothing.

 "Helpful, but not perfect" 2009-04-18
By Gita
I bought this potty for traveling. It worked great on airplanes, but you really have to make sure it is open fully before you put your child on. I had the unfortunate experience of it pinching in an airplane bathroom. You can imagine the result. The potty also isn't the best for public toilets, because they have long and wide bowls and this potty isn't that stable on them. I used it when I needed to, but my child didn't enjoy the process.

"SUPER AWESOME -- best invention ever!" 2009-11-05
By Angela Baumeister (Central Valley, CA)
The On the Go potty and liners have been so amazingly awesome for us. When potty training, my daughter absolutely loved to pull out her potty seat and cop a squat wherever we were! The liners hold the fluids really well too -- to my surprise. A must have -- and great investment! My daughter was fully potty trained at 18 months and is now three but will still use the potty seat when we're traveling --- and SOOOO much easier than going into some of those super nasty restrooms.

    Customer Buzz
"Glad I can still buy these" 2009-10-11
    By Boo
These liners fit the original On the Go Potty. The liners have improved since the original. Instead of what looks like a thick feminine protection pad at the bottom, it now looks like a ultrathin feminine protection pad. That's more attractive, for sure.

My kids are now older. The 5 year old still uses the potty occasionally and the 8 year old will use the liners (he's a boy) it if it's a major emergency. My kids output too much for the pad to be of much use. When my daughter was a toddler, the pad helped. It never absorbed everything, but the less sloshing around, the better.

The original liners used to sometimes have problems leaking. The newer liners don't leak. That's why I don't just go out and use my own bags. I'm afraid the ones I use will leak. These don't, which is nice, especially if I'm using them in the minivan.

My only complaint is the liners don't fit completely around the rim of the potty easily. Wish they would make them just a little bit bigger. I have to stretch them, if I want them to go all the way around; and sometimes they tear. I usually am happy just to get them to go a little over the rim.

I'm happy these potties were invented. I still carry one in the back of my minivan just in case. I have tried using just a bag with an open diaper in it, but the kids don't like it and won't use it like that, because those potties are small. The diapers end up filling out the whole potty and the kids don't want to use a diaper. Thank goodness they sell these liner refills.

"BE CAREFUL! TWO DIFFERENT POTTY REFILLS~" 2009-08-17
    By Karen Black (Houston, TX)
I bought these liners to fit our potette, which we love. What I didn't know until now is that there are TWO Potettes... the Potette and the Potette PLUS. The latter has handles that lock in the flat position for use on a standard toilet seat. Apparently the other potty seat does not do this. These liners are for the regular Potette which is slightly smaller than our Potette Plus. They do not fit!!! Make sure you are buying the correct size. Otherwise they work as described, and my daughter likes the little turtles on the bottom. That teeny pad doesn't absorb much of anything, but she insists on peeing on the turtles, lol! So afterward I throw in a couple of paper towels and we're good to go. I have some leftover nursing pads and those work great too.

"Pretty nice product and here's why..." 2009-07-04
    By R. Cox
These bags fit well with the travel potty I got. They have that "baby fresh" smell and are blue so you don't have to see what goes into them. They are easy to dispose of and work well. However, you can also use gallon size ziplock bags (which close more securely and you can see through) which would be cheaper. Another plus to the gallon bags is they don't smell. I thought I'd like the scent, but it smelled up my whole car the first time I used it b/c one of the bags was in the potty ready to go (I even had it in the box!)

     "Great for Travel" 2009-04-20
    By Flower (Texas)
These liners and the potty that goes with it is awesome! Great for travel or those times when you just leave a store and suddenly the kids have to potty and you dread going back in that store!! My 3 and 5 year old have used it since they were 2. The 5 year old is almost 40 pounds and can still use it but might be getting a bit tall since it sits so low to the ground, but for an emergency we'd use it in a pinch! They can easily potty inside our mini-van (for privacy) with no messes but are always sure to do it on the rubber mats just in case!
